The shareholders decided to take on a partner who now has a controlling interest in the mountain (Bill Van Pelt). Each work day gets me credit towards my season pass and what better place to spend a beautiful fall day than on a mountain in the Adirondacks? There was 4+ years of sapling and bramble growth to take down (not to mention "secret stash" maintenance), but we had some good work crews and the mountain looks better than ever. But I have spent a day each of the last 6 weekends clearing brush and getting the trails ready. While *technically* I own a piece of the place (I have the family stock share from 30 years ago that you needed to buy to get vouchers for work days), I don't represent the mountain management.
